This, I would have to say in in my most honest voice, is the reason why I'm not going to kill myself tomorrow. The message conveyed through this magnificent piece of artwork has reworked my entire mind! I see a new light, and I shall follow it.
As for the drawing itself, there is simply no praise I could put to it, because no praise that could possibly encompass this art would hold up to it. It is moments like these, which I wish I could make up a new word for the English language. It is beautabulous.
The quality is substantially higher than any of the other artwork I've seen here on deviantart; maybe even of any art I've seen in my entire life. I would give you a million dollars if I had it. You're on the top of the list of people whom I'm giving money to if I win Tattslotto.
Bravo, bravo. I tip my hat in your direction. The respect you have from me is infinite.
Vision: I have to say, the vision presented here is simply astounding. Unlike many shipping pieces, which deal with the theme of love and happiness, this comic deals with loss and heartbreak. Applebloom, who is in love with Fluttershy, is forced to deal with the fact that Fluttershy is not into foals or her. It makes me tear up a little.
Originality: This piece exels in its originality. Unlike many shippers, who ship Fluttershy with Rainbow, Pinkie or Rarity or shippers who ship Applebloom with her fellow crusaders, you have taken the road less travelled and have made an extremely original pairing and one that I could see happening. Another original thing is that Fluttershy does not share her lovers feelings, unlike most shipping pictures and stories where both characters fall for each other.
Technique: This piece is extremely well drawn, and the writing is gripping, with no grammatical mistakes or spelling issues. The line work makes me jealous of *HeWhoErasesMost's effort and talent, and the likeness to the show is uncanny. The hair is extremely well drawn, and it almost looks like real hair. Once again, good job.
Impact: This piece had a PROFOUND impact on me. I cried for hours. I understood Applebloom's pain, THE PAIN OF REJECTION. It really struck a chord with me, as I have been rejected by someone I loved before. It also raises the issue of Fluttershy's taste in partners. If she's not a foal fiddler, what is she? And if she's not a foal fiddler, will she love Applebloom once the little filly grows up? So many questions.
Overall: I have to say, in my short time on dA so far, this is the piece I think is the most well drawn, thought provoking and heart-breaking piece I've ever seen. 5/5 all around.
Why are people being so mean about this art. GOOD GRIEF PEOPLE. He can draw the way he wants, and if ya don't like go and drink SOME SOUR MILK. I personally love this, it makes me laugh.
